Why we built ICTERP for resellers

ICTERP sales pipeline with leads moving from New to Won

ICTERP is a white-label business suite for resellers. It’s built on Odoo Community 19, and it puts click-to-call and live chat history right on the customer record. You sell it under your own brand, buy it outright or by subscription, and we look after the servers. Here’s why we built it, and who it’s for.

The problem we kept hearing

For years, our customers have run call centers on ICTContact and ICTBroadcast. And for years, they’ve told us the same story. The calling side works. The trouble starts after the call.

An agent talks to a customer, hangs up, then switches to a different system to update the deal. Maybe they remember to type a note. Maybe they don’t. The sales manager wants to know which leads said yes this week, and somebody ends up exporting a spreadsheet from one tool and pasting it into another.

Plenty of resellers tried to fix this by bolting a CRM onto the dialer. That usually means a paid connector, a second vendor to deal with, and a product that doesn’t carry their own name. It’s hard to build a business on something you can’t brand and can’t really support.

What we built instead

We started from Odoo Community, the open source edition of Odoo. It already has the apps small businesses run on: CRM, Contacts, Sales, Invoicing and Project. It’s well documented, it has a huge community, and it doesn’t lock anyone into a closed format.

Then we added the parts that matter to our resellers:

  • A Call button on leads, opportunities and contacts. It sends the number to ICTContact, the call goes through to the agent, and the outcome and the agent’s notes come back to the lead.
  • Outcome rules that move the deal for you. Interested sends the lead to Qualified. A sale marks it Won. Not interested closes it as lost.
  • ICTDesk chat history on the same record, so sales can see what a prospect asked on the website before they pick up the phone.
  • Your branding on the login page, the app icons and the browser tab.
  • Licensing that suits a reseller, with an owned option that never checks in, and a subscription option that pauses the calling features if a bill goes unpaid, without ever locking a customer out of their records.

The click-to-call guide walks through what that looks like day to day.

Why resellers, and not end users?

Because that’s who we know. Most of our business comes through service providers who sell our software to their own customers. They already have the relationships. What they’ve been missing is a business suite they can put their own name on, at a price that leaves them room to earn.

So ICTERP is priced per server, not per seat. The base server is $2,400 once, or $149 a month. Calling is priced by agent tier, from 20 to 200 agents. What you charge your customers is up to you. The full list is on the packages page.

What we handle, so you don’t have to

Running Odoo well takes care. There’s a new version every year, add-ons need testing against it, and servers need watching. With support, which every subscription includes, our team does that work:

  • ICT Monitor checks each server every minute: the app, the database, the web server, the disk, the memory and last night’s backup. If something fails, a ticket opens straight away.
  • We test each new Odoo Community version with the ICTERP add-ons and upgrade your servers once a year.
  • You get one place to ask for help, our ticket desk, for anything on the server side.

Where it goes next

The first version is about the work that happens around a call. Next, we’re adding call duration and call recordings to the call log as ICTContact makes them available. We’ve also added Inventory, Purchase, Manufacturing, Website with eCommerce, and Employees with Time Off, so ICTERP now ships with ten business apps. Point of Sale and others will follow as resellers ask for them.

Frequently asked questions

Is ICTERP the same as Odoo?

It’s built on Odoo Community 19, the open source edition, with our own add-ons for calling, chat, branding and licensing. Odoo is a trademark of Odoo S.A., and ICTERP isn’t affiliated with them.

Do I need ICTContact?

For the Call button, yes. The calling packages include an ICTContact licence for the agents you choose. The rest of ICTERP works without it.

Can I try it before I buy?

Open a ticket and ask for a walkthrough. We’ll show you a server with the calling and chat features running.

What happens to my customers’ data if I stop?

It’s in a standard PostgreSQL database. Even if a subscription lapses, the apps and the records stay available. Only the calling and chat features pause.

If you’d like to see ICTERP with your brand on it, get in touch. We’d be glad to show you around.

Want to see ICTERP with your own brand on it? Open a ticket and we'll set up a walkthrough.
