Odoo's own VoIP app needs the paid Enterprise edition. ICTERP gives Odoo Community calling, campaigns and call outcomes through ICTContact, our contact center software.
Odoo Community doesn’t come with VoIP
If you run Odoo Community and want to call customers from it, there’s nothing to switch on. Odoo’s VoIP app is part of the paid Enterprise edition. The Community 19.0 code has SMS apps and phone number checks, but no VoIP module and no softphone.
ICTERP fills that gap from the other side. Instead of a phone inside the ERP, it connects Odoo Community to ICTContact, a complete contact center. The calling happens in ICTContact. The results come back to ICTERP.

From the Call button to the outcome on the lead
Press Call
On a lead, an opportunity or a contact. The agent is signed in to ICTContact’s agent panel in the browser and set to Ready.
The phone rings
ICTERP hands the number to ICTContact, which places the call over your carrier and connects it to the agent.
Talk and log
When the call ends, the agent picks an outcome and types a note in ICTContact, the same screen they already work in.
Back on the record
The outcome, the note, the line result and how long the call lasted come back to the lead. Outcomes can move the deal to its next stage.

A full call log on the lead
Each call keeps its time, line result, talk time, outcome and the agent’s notes, so the next person who calls knows what was said.

Map outcomes to pipeline stages: Interested goes to Qualified, a sale goes to Won. Nobody has to drag cards by hand after every call.
Lead lists into campaigns
Select leads and send them into an ICTContact campaign in one go. The campaign itself, voice or SMS, is set up in ICTContact.
Website chats on the same record
If you use ICTDesk for live chat, conversations are matched to contacts and leads by email or phone, so sales see what a prospect asked.

Odoo’s app puts a phone inside Odoo for Enterprise users, connected to a VoIP provider. ICTERP takes the contact center route: dialing, agents and campaigns live in ICTContact, and the ERP receives every result.
That suits teams who call a lot, run outbound campaigns, or already have a call center. If you only make the odd call and already pay for Odoo Enterprise, Odoo’s own app may be all you need.
Lines from your carrier, agents from a package
- An ICTERP base server, owned or on subscription
- A calling package for 20, 50, 100 or 200 agents, which includes the ICTContact licence
- Phone lines and minutes from your own carrier, connected to ICTContact
- Agents work with ICTContact’s agent panel open in the browser
Call recordings stay in ICTContact for now. They aren’t linked on the lead in ICTERP yet.
Odoo VoIP questions
Does Odoo Community have a VoIP app?
No. Odoo’s VoIP app belongs to the Enterprise edition. Odoo Community 19 includes SMS apps and phone number validation, but no VoIP module.
Do I need Odoo Enterprise to call from ICTERP?
No. ICTERP is built on Odoo Community and never includes Enterprise code. Calling comes from the ICTContact connection, not from Odoo’s VoIP app.
Which carriers and phone lines can I use?
Lines and minutes come from your carrier and are set up on ICTContact, not on ICTERP. Tell us which carrier and numbers you plan to use, and we’ll check them with you first.
Can ICTERP send text messages too?
Lead lists can go into an ICTContact campaign, and that campaign can be voice or SMS. School parent alerts use the same route.
Is ICTContact open source as well?
No. ICTERP is open source under LGPL-3. ICTContact is our commercial contact center software, and its licence is included in the calling packages.
Can I connect my existing Odoo Community to ICTContact?
ICTERP is delivered as a complete server. If you already run Odoo Community, talk to us: we’ll look at your version and modules and suggest the cleanest way over.
