Open source ERP, built on Odoo Community

ICTERP is Odoo Community 19 plus our own add-ons, all under the LGPL-3 licence. Here is what is open, what is commercial, and what that means for you.

ICTERP is open source ERP software. It’s Odoo Community 19, which Odoo S.A. publishes under the LGPL-3 licence, plus the add-ons we build, released under the same licence. You get a complete set of business apps that you’re free to run, study and change, with calling through ICTContact on top.

What’s inside

Three open source layers

Odoo Community 19

The business apps: CRM, sales, invoicing, inventory, purchasing, manufacturing, HR, website and shop. Published by Odoo S.A. under LGPL-3.

ICTERP Community modules

Our own modules: branding, the app home page, the education suite and payroll. LGPL-3, published on GitHub. The ICTContact and ICTDesk connectors ship with Enterprise.

Community projects

OpenEduCat Community for education and OCA Payroll, both LGPL-3, plus a handful of OCA branding modules under AGPL-3, whose source we point you to.

What it means for you

Open source you can actually use

Your data in a normal database

Everything sits in PostgreSQL in Odoo’s standard structure. Nothing is locked in a closed format, so you can report on it, move it or hand it to another partner.

The code in the open

The Community modules are on GitHub, and an owned server carries the full source. Your developers, or anyone you hire, can read it and build on it.

Priced per server, not per user

Odoo Community has no per-user fees, and neither does ICTERP. You pay per server, plus calling by the number of agents.

A yearly upgrade, done for you

Odoo Community moves to a new version once a year. With support, we test the ICTERP add-ons on it and upgrade your server.

Being clear

What isn’t open source

We’d rather you hear it from us. The ERP is open source. The communication products it connects to, and the services around it, are commercial.

  • ICTContact, the contact center behind calling, is our commercial software. Its licence comes with the calling packages.
  • ICTDesk, for live chat, is a separate commercial product.
  • Setup in your brand, support, ICT Monitor and the yearly upgrade are paid services.
  • Subscription servers check their licence with us. If an account goes unpaid, calling and chat sync pause, but the ERP apps keep working.

FAQ

Open source ERP questions

Is ICTERP free?

The code is open source. What you pay for is a ready ICTERP server: setup in your brand, the ICTContact connection, calling for your agents and, if you choose, support, monitoring and yearly upgrades.

Is ICTERP made by Odoo?

No. ICTERP is built and supported by ICT Innovations on top of Odoo Community. Odoo is a trademark of Odoo S.A., and ICTERP isn’t affiliated with Odoo S.A.

Does ICTERP include any Odoo Enterprise code?

No. It’s built only on Odoo Community. Where Enterprise has something Community lacks, such as VoIP, ICTERP covers it with its own modules or with ICTContact.

Can I see and change the source code?

Yes. The ICTERP Community modules are on GitHub at github.com/ictinnovations/icterp under the LGPL-3. Fork it, change it and run it. If you want your changes to carry through our yearly upgrades, send them back as a pull request or talk to us.

Can I add more Odoo Community apps?

Yes. The full Community catalogue is on the Apps screen. Tell us which app a customer needs and we’ll test it with ICTERP before switching it on.

What happens when Odoo releases a new version?

Odoo Community moves to a new version once a year. With support, we test the ICTERP add-ons on it and upgrade your servers for you.
